On Broadway 2 - Then

Another early morning on Broadway. Love the old motel signs that are still around. I've been driving past these signs for years, always saying to myself, "I've got to get those photographed, before they disappear." FINALLY made good on my desire. Early morning blue sky co-operated with my plan.

While I LOVE the summer solstice, it will be nice to not have to get up quite so early to get the "good light" of the early morning.

There used to be a multitude of small, used car lots, individually owned and operated on Broadway. They have mostly disappeared. Many of them are now vacant asphalt lots with empty odd-shaped buildings painted in "notice me" colors. Now homes to spiders and mice where once upon a time a signature or two and a bit of cash was traded for keys to mobility.Posted by Picasa

We have several signs in town like this - but they're all related to tackle and bait ....

I LOVE the colors - these are gorgeous light filled shots!
