Thoughtful Thursday

I grew up in the fields and woods of the mid-west.
Tall oaks, barbed-wire fences, dogs, horses,
cats, pheasants, ducks, streams,
steaming dog days of summer,
the freeze of winter chilling our breath while waiting for the school bus.


Old trucks, parked a good distance from the house,
are a heart-stopping, get the camera
moment for me.
