Reaching

Amazing
Reaching
Hands

Mother Nature,
our first abstract artist.

Taking walks again with myself and Cam, the camera.
(Our relationship is deep enough, it is time to bestow my constant companion with a name.)

You and Cam have become close and both have such a good eye for the beautiful. The tree is magnificent!

I am stuck in this picture. I feel that I have become you. I am standing where you stood as amazed as you were when you stumbled upon mother earths hands.

@Neva - auto is good. Cam LOVES auto. Then stretches a bit into something requiring brain power.
@Jill - Thanks!
@Blue - I plan to visit the tree again!
@Jaye - I KNOW. I keep returning to this photo here and in Picassa. I had taken photos walking toward it with the sun at my back. Then turned around for this "oh - this might be a great photo?" glimmer of an idea.

This is the second image I have visited today with knobbly trees. I find them fascinating and the light and B&W make for a great shot.

Love this quote-- reaching-- such a great metaphor for what we do as artists-- I truly believe that nature is the best at weathering, layering textures, recycling...
