Have been quietly playing with beeswax after reading Kimmie's posts.
A small gift for a friend - bundled up in wax paper (of course).
The front sides.... (the wax is the darker dip at the bottom)
The back sides...
Will post some other wax-periments over the next couple of days.

The thumbnail in my sidebar caught my attention and immediately enticed me over to read your post. I'm dying to experiment with beeswax but for some reason I havn't wanted to start from scratch on my own. (I will go read Kimmies post) Your gift for a friend is lovely!
perfect, sweet as honey.
new art for an old friend.
thoughts, directions, exciting
hot wax...symboloc of friendship's
support.
Maybe you know this, if so, ignore. When I play with beeswax I take the chunk of it and use my tiny little v-shaped iron to hold against the edge of it and I drip it onto my work. Then I use the little iron to smooth out the dropped beeswax on the project. I never bother with melting large clumps anymore, this method works so much easier for me. Don't you love the smell? :)Bea
