I ordered some new water soluble oil pastels, my friend
Fran uses them all the time. They arrived yesterday - so this morning I played - timidly. Adding color to some of my lines.
My "art time" is early in the morning for 30 minutes or so, before the sun rises - so here is my beginning play.
I haven't added water yet - just rubbed the oil pastels with my fingers.

i ADORE the way you REPRESENT...both are ADORABLE..and the second one my fav. you are such a teacher of our ole less is more...my hardest lesson to learn perhaps.

Looks like fun! The word "play" definitely qualifies here - especially if the first thing you did was rub your fingers in it :)
