Desktop Art

Snapped these photos in the painting studio at Colorado State University. Painters will recognize these as the painting tops of the stands by the easels. Never took a formal painting class so I don't know the formal names. AND - I've never taken or done painting where it was OK to leave paint on a surface without a $50 fine.

When wandering with my camera - which takes planning and a decision because it's a larger, digital camera - I find myself taking photos of things most people don't. The family, "Mom - what are you taking photos of now?" The excitement of the download, to see what I've got to add to my collection is thrilling, I can feel that adrenaline rush! Photography is like fishing - you never know what you're going to catch. Or how great the catch will be. Returning to a group of the same fishing holes year after year, or going off on your own - early in the morning or later in the day. Similar kind of "fix" I suspect.

Thanks Neva! I KNOW - I LOVE them. Abstract - which is what the world is really all about. Random - Chaos. Thanks!

Absolutely love these! Yes I know that "fix" well. Blogging has certainly stirred up a love for photography and the playing with Picasa afterwards is another addiction. It's got to the stage where my daughter turns her back and walks in the opposite direction every time I whip out the camera in public. It's more like "Mom! Please!!"
